Cheap Entertainment.

For your consideration: Cheap Entertainment.

One of the best things we can think of, when really looking for a good, humorous, business-related trip is to take a tour of some of the old properties you used to own that you sold to some sucker.

We, meaning landlords, all have properties that we’ve loved and hated. There’s just something intriguing about the scenario where you hate a property, but wind up selling to someone that loves the place.

This is how you do it:

  1. Grab a buddy of yours that wants to take a drive.
  2. Head on over to your chosen property(s)
  3. Start telling stories.
  4. Finish your driving with an evening at your favorite local restaurant.
  5. Continue telling stories and possibly drinking.

That’s it! Cheap entertainment. If your buddy was/is a landlord, the dynamic of the conversations will probably be a little more sympathetic vs. complete and total shock and awe on the part of a real estate neophyte. Heck, you can do this multiple times with multiple friends!

Tell them about the time your tenant’s minibike got stolen, or about how the lady down the street needs a new crib and you’re the one to give it to her. Tell them about how you ran into your rental house garage door with your SUV, or how your unit was burglarized and you could tell that the bastards WANTED to take the stove (because it was sitting in the middle of your kitchen with the gas line fully extended), but couldn’t because they didn’t bring a wrench so the next day they came back with some bolt cutters, but your neighbors scared them off. Tell them about how tenants that you threw out never came back, but their kids did to dig up your yard and kill your bushes.

You’re the headliner on this event. Bask in the glow! Forget those sexy and exotic foreign trips

Good luck out there.
