Whew! Get Your Gas Now!
For your consideration: Whew! Get Your Gas Now!
If you haven't already heard, oil prices spiked last night. Well, they kind of hit us like a hammer. $10 in one night! That's pretty significant.
The Money Kings tip here is to pay attention to the news reports for certain tidbits like this . . . In general, the damn media is worthless to The Money Kings with is constant bantering about all things insignificant in nature. Hearing about the significance of oil's spike in price last night, however, did wind up saving us a little bit of money today.
Facts:
- Gasoline prices have been receding a bit all week.
- $10 added to the price of crude, however, means that we should all go fill up before the trickle-down hits the retail market . . . Probably for most of you, it's already hit your locale.
- Filling up on a Friday is generally a no-no for The Money Kings, due to demand. Today's action, however, means you have to move.
Gas spikes $10, then more than likely recedes slowly over a week or two. You were looking at $4.00 a gallon one minute, then the next it's $4.35. AND you have to wait 2 weeks for it to recede to $4.00. Might as well fill up now, and drive less to ride it out.
When will this mess end? MoneyKing drives a really fuel efficient vehicle, too. We can't fathom what you Silverado and Tundra drivers are going through.
Good luck out there.

I keep hearing about how we're being oppressed by high gasoline prices and people are fed up. Meanwhile, as I stopped at a fast food franchise for a drive-home chicken sandwich, I noticed at least six cars in the oddly named "Drive-Thru Window" idly idling, burning costly gasoline.
I parked my car and went inside to find nobody in line at the counter. The place was empty - on the inside - just like the heads of the dopes waiting in their running vehicles.
Apparently, we aren't angry enough or spending enough money on gasoline to force us to move our asses.
When will that happen?

What you're describing is a overall education issue.
Think of a scale with enlightened motivation on one end and then ingorant laziness on the other.
As our empire has grown and prospered, people have tipped toward the lazy side of he scale. It's a conundrum.
Lack of prosperity has typically inspired us to achieve more so that we can relax a bit. Now, our brains seem to be on a really long vacation.
