Alright. Now We’ll Talk About GPS.

For your consideration: Alright. Now We’ll Talk About GPS.

For the love of everything right with humanity:

Get A GPS Unit Already!!!

Here are the top reasons we’re hearing from people against using/buying a GPS unit:

  1. They’re too expensive.
  2. I’m technology-challenged (one of our favorite BS excuses people seem to use for not applying themselves in the use of very basic technologies)
  3. I don’t want to lose my natural sense of direction.
  4. If God wanted me to know exactly where I was all the time, then he’d blah, blah, blah. GPS isn’t right with God.
  5. I have too many gadgets already. GPS is just another gadget.
  6. Humans are going too far . . . It’s almost like we’re robots with all this technology.

Here are our responses:

  1. GPS units are cheap, cheap, cheap these days. If you’re thinking of buying a new car, more than likely, you’ll even have GPS in it.
  2. The folks that design these systems have the people that THINK they’re technology-challenged in mind during R&D. We wonder a lot of times if the people that give this BS excuse have actually tried a GPS system to see just how easy it is to use.
  3. If you have a natural sense of direction, then you won’t lose it. Money King’s got one, and he never seems to not know which direction he’s headed GPS or not. Natural skills aren’t skills you lose.
  4. If God didn’t want us to develop GPS, then why can we do it?
  5. If you have too many gadgets, then prioritize them. GPS should be near the top of your list, because it’s saving you tons of time and GASOLINE in getting from point A to B.
  6. You might be right about the robots. In fact, some people really would love to be like Darth Vader. Fortunately, all of our technology tends to come with OFF switches. If you’re feeling a little to cyborg-ish one day. Turn the GPS off.

GPS is simply an acknowledgment that we humans RULE. We’ve always used technology to enhance our lives. We always will.

If you’ve ever taken those helicopter seeds off a Maple tree and tried to throw them into a coffee can, then you’ve used technology to entertain and challenge yourself. Just because GPS is highly advanced and (to many) scarily accurate and convenient, doesn’t mean there’s a logical reason not to use it.

In fact, we all know where The Money Kings are going with this . . . GPS units save your most precious commodity: time.

The problem with a lot of GPS-haters is that they refuse to acknowledge just how much time they waste by NOT making use of all those GPS satellites out there. We all learn in school that the fastest route from place to place is a straight line. Think of GPS as the ultimate in all that straight lines have to offer.

Please note: There’s no way in h%ll we’re going to start recommending specific units today. The technology is moving too fast. If you want advice on which unit to get, email us directly from our contact page—or, simply ask a person that owns one if they like their unit. The have no reason to lie to you, unless their comments are followed by: “Mine’s for sale! Wanna buy it!??

Good luck out there.

Years ago when I started to use GPS, people at work asked me if I needed it - if I didn't know the city well enough. Now, one by one, they are all buying their own GPS units.

People who never tried GPS navigation themselves don't know what they are missing. One you try it, you will not want to go anywhere without it.

I don't use a GPS - and

I don't use a GPS - and rarely find a need for one - except for when I travel to a city I'm unfamiliar with. But since that is only once a month or so - I just map out directions to where I want to go. I'm sure one of these days I'll break down and get one. But for now my dashboard already looks too cluttered with satelite radio, cell phone chargers, etc.
