If The Internet Is Down On Your Whole Continent, Save Your Frustration And Money. Drink More Wine!
For your consideration: If The Internet Is Down On Your Whole Continent, Save Your Frustration And Money. Drink More Wine!
Areas of the Middle East, Africa and Asia are suffering a small Internet meltdown today as a couple of main undersea cables may have been cut by a boat anchor. This has undoubtedly affected business, and thus, money making. The Money Kings don’t like news like this, but sometimes there’s just nothing you can do. Therefore, we’ve decided that when the Internet is down there’s no need to frown. There’s never been a better time to open your favorite bottle (or box, as it were) of wine!
Now, we’re not talking about the Winograd Report —all puns intended! We’re talking about vino, the fruit of the grape, Dionysis’ pride.
Wine can be expensive, but it doesn’t have to be. Furthermore, if you’re alone, red wine might be good for your heart, but it’s bad for your pocket book. Once you open it, you better be ready to drink the whole bottle in about 3 days. Red wine does NOT keep well. If you’re looking to enjoy wine, and you want it to last, go white.
Ask yourself, “I’m not looking for a Bordeaux from 1787. I just want something nice, decent and refreshing. How can I get the biggest bang for my buck with wine?”
The Money Kings say, “LOVE THE BOX. BUY THE BOX.” That’s right! Why be forced to drink a $20, $50 or $100 dollar bottle of wine in 2 days or at best 2 weeks when you can have 2 months?! This is simple math for simple savings. The only thing spoiling your wine is air. The box takes care of this for you. No need for thos complicated vacuum seal bottle stoppers or any other gimmicks.
Furthermore, boxes are easier on your wallet at parties as well. You’re not reading The Money Kings to learn how to host dinner at your house with 3 bottles of expensive wine only to have 2.5 completely consumed. You’ve just lost a half a bottle! You’re trying to save money.
For a long time, Franzia cornered the market on box wines with only a limited variety of conventional offerings. For serious wine drinkers, Franzia just doesn’t cut it. For wine cooler drinkers, the stuff is just fine.
SFGate.com has some reviews of popular box brands for you to try. Heck, even Target is offering box wine for you to stretch your dollar further.
Happy Drinking.

Moscato d'Asti
My personal favorite is a bottle of Moscato d'Asti. There's nothing better than enjoying a glass of Moscato out on my back porch while watching the sun set after a long day at work. The day I can get that in a box is the day I jump for joy since if I don't finish the bottle I often put it back in my refrigerator and forget about it. It then ends up going bad and I find myself dumping half a bottle of my favorite wine down the drain. What a waste when I do that!
