Three EZ Ways To Combat Higher Food Costs.

For your consideration: Three EZ Ways To Combat Higher Food Costs.

Lots of folks, and of course the damn major media outlets, are talking about increases in food costs. The Money Kings have noticed a bit of an increase in regular food items. Nothing as serious as the crap spewed from the major news channels, but we’ve noticed an increase none the less.

How Can You Cope?

Here are three quick tips:

  1. Use Powdered Milk: This really only works for ardent skim milk drinkers/users. In fact, there’s much debate over the benefits of adults using anything other than skim milk in their diets due to fat content. Alas, this is a different topic. Powdered milk mixed with water tastes very similar to milk out of a jug. If you’re using skim milk for your cereal, and not even drinking the stuff, then seriously . . . You should give powered milk a try. You won’t notice the difference, and you’ll be amazed at how long a box of the stuff will actually last.
  2. Add Rice To Your Soups: If you like buying cans of chicken and rice soup, or any other variety of soup with rice, try adding a little water to your mix and then throw in a quarter cup of pre-cooked rice. You’ll add a little extra value to your meal. Rice is cheap as hell (contrary to popular belief), and tastes great. By adding a bit to a can of soup, you probably won’t be as hungry after your single can. You can even add shrimp or cubed tofu. Think of your soup as the base for a larger meal with added ingredients. You’ll save a ton with this strategy.
  3. Shop At Trader Joe’s: We know. We know. Lots of people think this store is expensive. If you’re shopping for salmon and organic beef, then sure, you’re going to pay premium prices. However, Trader Joe’s is, however, one of the few grocery chains that will compare their prices to larger chains in black and white. You can do the math and see for yourself. Their cereals, for example, are better for you than a lot of major brands. Plus, they’re cheaper . . . We challenge you to give this unique little store a try.

Good luck out there.

Thanks for dropping by my

Thanks for dropping by my blog, as for reviewing your blog, I would love to. I have been a fan of your site for some time now. I love reading about tenant problems and can relate since my business I so often speak of is Property Maintenance for property management companies and homeowners. I get to see first hand the damage a tenant can cause, but it's what pays my bills so in a way I'm thankful there are such inconsiderate people renting homes and apartments.

Its wonderful when you have good tenants!

Life can be really good in the rental property business when you have good tenants. Its great when they pay on time (or even early!) and treat the house as their own.

But it can be a living hell when you have a house that you've put up the cash for and the tenant you rented to is tearing it up. Not to mention the legal system basically gives them enough time to finish destroying the place before you can legally get them out. I am lucky enough though to not have some serious infrastructure damage that members of our crew have had. I've heard of some people getting concrete mix dumped down the plumbing and sewers basically destroying everything.
