The Top 10 Ways To Get Traffic BACK To Your Site!

For your consideration: Top 10 Ways To Get Traffic BACK To Your Site!

If you've had a significant drop in traffic to your web site, or are wondering what you can do to retain subscribers to your online content services, this list is for you!

The Top 10 Ways To Get Traffic BACK To Your Site!

  1. Send your subscribers an email, directly! Think about it. Your subscribers are used to getting your content formatted in a very specific manner in their email inbox each and every time you update your site. Shake things up a bit by sending them a direct message new ways of engaging your content.
  2. Change your site design. Believe if or not, your site design might be old, outdated or sub par. You might have 500 subscribers now, but if the year has only yielded you an additional 10 readers, then you might need to scrub your site up a bit.
  3. Fire your writer. Sad to say it, but your writer is your key to subscriber retention. If they're not up to snuff, then they've got to go.
  4. Solicit for guest writing. This is an easy way to get people re-interested in your site. This might cost you a bundle, but you might be surprised what a couple of guest posts can do to keep people interested.
  5. Put up some hot pics! Sex sells. If your site content has subject matter that could benefit from sexually-charged images, don't be afraid to throw a few in there.
  6. Give your users something more than text. Text isn't as sexy without integrated images, video, sound and other PERTINENT media. Notice how we said "PERTINENT" media. Your readers will drop you like a hot potato, if they realize that you're adding media fluff to your site. Readers want quality media added to quality posts.
  7. Post everyday. Even if you don't think you have much to say in a given day, don't underestimate what giving a continual stream of ideas will do for your subscribers. Imagine if CNN took every other day off!
  8. Send your subscribers a survey. How will you know what will bring your users back again and again, if you don't ask?
  9. Keep the majority of your posts short and sweet. We live in an
information-overloaded world. Your users are reading many other web sites. You can only expect them to be on your site for so long. You want to maximize their time and experience with you.
  10. Integrate your site with others. Do you have referral links on other sites? You should. If you know your readers are looking at other blogs on a similar subject, contact those sites and try to get your link embedded. That might help to get some of your users back.

Good luck out there.

COmpetely agree

Yeah, that's true, you need readership and interaction between bloggers and readers. That's the key and if you think blogging is just a one way communication, you are not gonna be as successful. (unless you got a million bucks to invest)

Love the first point

I like the first one about email-ing your subscribers. Never have thought of that :)
